welcome to summer schola!
Summer Schola at Carson-Newman University will be held July 6-11, 2025, for ages 15-18 years old.
Veritas. Pulchritudo. Bonitas. With three intensive tracks guided by a shared purpose, enhanced through workshops, excursions and service projects, this is your invitation to engage truth (veritas), explore beauty (pulchritudo) and embody goodness (bonitas) on the campus of Carson-Newman University!
The total cost for the six-day camp is $800.
Seeking Truth
Engage in the great conversations that have shaped civilizations. Through philosophical dialogue and theological reflection, uncover the principles that lead to wisdom and insight. Introduction to Philosophy and Critical Thinking (PHIL 101) is available as a 3-hour credit.
Creating Beauty
Explore the power of creativity to illuminate the human condition. Whether through fine arts, literature or design, learn how beauty transforms and inspires us to reflect on the genius of God’s creation and the gift of creativity. Humanities in the Cosmos (HUM 101) is available as a 3-hour credit.
Living Goodness
Embody the virtues that show faithfulness to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission. Through dialogue on ethics and leadership, as well as hands-on service projects, you will learn to embody goodness in action. Introduction to Leadership (BTS 241) is available as a 3-hour credit.

Whatever things are true, whatever things are honest, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things.
